Andy W. Gay

Andy W. Gay is a native and life-long resident of Zebulon, North Carolina. He obtained his B.S. degree from Atlantic Christian College in 1974 and was a member of the charter class at Campbell University School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctor Degree in 1979. Mr. Gay has been practicing law in Eastern Wake County since 1980, first with Kirk, Gay, Kirk, Gwynn & Howell in Wendell, NC from 1980 until 1995, and then with Gay & Stroud, L.L.P. which was established in his hometown of Zebulon. His ties to the community are undisputed and Mr. Gay was chosen by the local Eastern Wake County Newspaper readers as Best Attorney five of six years in the Reader Referral Survey contest put on by the papers.

Having been born and raised just one block from his office, Mr. Gay is proud to operate a general practice firm in his hometown, although, because of the firm’s unique location, Mr. Gay represents clients in all of Eastern North Carolina. Through the years, Mr. Gay has represented clients with a wide array of matters, from Capital Murder charges, numerous wrongful death cases, and multiple large condemnation cases.

Mr. Gay is a member of the North Carolina and Wake County Bar Associations and the North Carolina Advocates of Justice. Mr. Gay is licensed to practice before all North Carolina State courts, all the Bankruptcy Courts in North Carolina, and the United States Federal Courts in North Carolina, including the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. He served over twenty years as Town Attorney for Zebulon and is a licensed Realtor. His practice is concentrated primarily on criminal defense, civil litigation, including wrongful death and personal injury, real estate, condemnation law, municipal law, wills, estates, and business matters.

Darren G. Jackson

Darren is a lifelong resident of eastern Wake County and father of three. He and his wife Tina, a Nurse Practitioner, live near the Shotwell community outside of Knightdale. Darren attended public elementary and middle schools in eastern Wake, East Wake High School, and UNC-Chapel Hill where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science (Class of 1993). Darren then earned his law degree from Duke University and passed the Bar in 1996.

With his education complete, he began practicing law in Zebulon with Gay & Stroud. When Donna Stroud left to serve on the bench in 2004, the firm became Gay & Jackson. Darren enjoys a typical small-town general practice with an emphasis on personal injury, wrongful death, worker’s compenation, civil litigation and residential real estate.

Considering his deep eastern Wake roots, it’s no surprise that Darren is very active in the community. He has served as a mentor in the Communities in Schools program at East Wake Middle and as Vice-President of the East Wake Education Foundation. In addition, Darren has coached over 30 youth sports teams in the last 15 years. His family is a member of Knightdale United Methodist Church.

Daniel Patrick McNally

Pat was born and raised in eastern North Carolina in the town of Greenville. In 1995 he moved to Raleigh where he attended North Carolina State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (Class of 1999) and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (Class of 2000). Pat then earned his law degree from Campbell University in 2004 and passed the Bar Exam later that summer.

Pat began practicing law with the firm known as Gay, Stroud & Jackson in 2004. When Donna Stroud left the firm to serve on the bench in 2004, Pat took over Mrs. Stroud’s domestic practice, focusing much of his early years on divorce, child custody and support, equitable distribution and alimony. In January of 2010, Pat became a partner and the firm is now known as Gay, Jackson & McNally.

Pat still focuses the majority of his practice on family law matters, such as divorce, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, alimony and domestic violence. However, a large amount of his practice is devoted to traffic and misdemeanor criminal defense, collections and general civil litigation.
